Dental Sales + Partnership Manager

Slate is looking for a highly motivated, relationship-driven Fractional  Dental Sales & Professional Partnerships Manager to lead the growth of our dental professional program and dental wholesale channel.

This role will be responsible for building Slate's presence within dental practices while strengthening relationships with the dental professionals who recommend our products to their patients. The ideal candidate understands how to translate professional advocacy into commercial growth—building relationships with dentists, hygienists, dental practices, and industry partners that ultimately increase product recommendations, wholesale revenue, and brand credibility.

This is a hands-on fractional role. You'll own the strategy, pipeline, relationships, and sales activity needed to grow the channel while identifying new opportunities to establish Slate as the electric flosser dental professionals are most confident recommending to their patients.

What You'll Own

Wholesale Sales & Revenue Growth

• Own and deliver against annual and quarterly dental wholesale revenue targets.
• Develop a clear sales strategy and pipeline for growing Slate's presence within independent dental practices, dental groups, and other relevant professional accounts.
• Prospect, qualify, and convert new dental practices into Slate wholesale customers.
• Identify opportunities to increase reorder frequency, average account value, and product adoption within existing accounts.
• Maintain visibility into the sales pipeline, forecasting, conversion rates, and account performance.

Dental Professional Lead Generation & Relationship Development

• Build and manage a consistent pipeline of dentists, hygienists, dental practices, and other high-value professional prospects.
• Develop relationships with members of Slate's existing Dental Professional Program and identify opportunities to deepen their engagement with the brand.
• Create a systematic approach to nurturing dental professional leads from initial introduction through product trial, recommendation, and wholesale adoption.
• Identify high-potential dental advocates who could become long-term Slate champions, educators, referral partners, or strategic accounts.
• Develop scalable outreach and follow-up processes that allow Slate to consistently grow its dental professional network.

Increase Professional Recommendation & Advocacy

• Develop strategies that make it easier and more compelling for dental professionals to recommend Slate to their patients.
• Understand the barriers preventing dentists and hygienists from recommending Slate and identify programs, tools, education, or resources that can increase recommendation.
• Partner with marketing to develop sales materials, professional education, sampling programs, clinical resources, and other tools that support dental professional adoption.
• Identify opportunities to turn existing professional relationships into stronger brand advocacy, referrals, testimonials, educational partnerships, and product recommendations.
• Establish measurable ways to understand how frequently and effectively Slate is being recommended within participating dental practices.

Strengthen Slate's Dental Professional Positioning

• Develop strategies that reinforce Slate's position as a leading dentist-recommended electric flosser brand.
• Identify partnerships, associations, conferences, dental groups, education opportunities, and other strategic channels that could expand Slate's professional credibility and reach.
• Bring insights from dental professionals back to the broader Slate team to inform product development, marketing, education, and commercial strategy.
• Identify opportunities to generate credible professional proof points that strengthen Slate's positioning with both dental professionals and consumers.

Key Performance Indicators

Success in this role will be measured across both commercial growth and professional advocacy, including:

• Achievement of dental wholesale revenue targets
• New qualified dental professional leads generated
• New wholesale dental accounts opened
• Lead-to-account conversion rate
• Growth and reorder rate of existing dental wholesale accounts
• Revenue per active dental account
• Growth in active and engaged members of Slate's Dental Professional Program
• Percentage of participating dental professionals actively recommending Slate
• Growth in patient referrals and/or purchases attributable to dental professionals
• Number of high-value dental advocates developed
• Progress toward strengthening Slate's dentist-recommended brand positioning

• 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, professional partnerships, or account management, ideally within dental, oral care, medical device, healthcare, or professional beauty/wellness.
• Existing knowledge of—or relationships within—the dental professional ecosystem is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build a sales pipeline and independently take prospects from outreach through close.
• Strong relationship-building skills and comfort communicating with dentists, hygienists, practice owners, and other healthcare professionals.
• Experience growing wholesale, B2B, or professional recommendation channels.
• Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment where strategy and execution often happen simultaneously.
• Highly self-directed, organized, and accountable to measurable commercial goals.
• Strong understanding of how professional recommendation and advocacy can influence consumer adoption.
• Able to translate feedback from customers and professionals into actionable commercial strategies.
