Hometown Health Center (HHC), a mission-driven FQHC, is seeking a compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team in our Palmyra office. Full-time or part-time available—with flexible scheduling, supportive culture and loan repayment eligibility (NHSC).
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver preventive care: cleanings, sealants, fluoride, patient education
- Support diagnosis, treatment planning and outreach
- Maintain accurate documentation in our EHR
- Collaborate with a compassionate team focused on access, not quotas
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday (3 to 5 days/week based on your preference)
- Flexible start/end times
- No evenings or weekends
Requirements:
- Maine Dental Hygiene license
- CPR certification (or willing to obtain)

HHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center that offers medical services, dental services, behavioral health services, a sliding-fee scale for payment that is based on what the patient can afford, several prescription assistance programs and much more.
Hometown Health Center receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims including medical malpractice claims for itself and its covered individuals.
Comprehensive health care necessitates treating the whole person. Treatment is not exclusively medical nor is it solely psychological. HOMETOWN Health Center understands and incorporates an integrated approach to its health care treatment philosophy whereby the medical services are seamlessly blended with behavioral health services to provide complete and well-balanced care for the patient.
HHC has a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week FoneMed system that provides our patients with access to a nurse and provider who offer clinical advice when our offices are closed. This system is designed to best meet the needs of our patients even in the middle of the night. The FoneMed system can be reached by calling any of our offices and following the automated prompts.
