Overview

This position will work at our Virginia Beach Health Science campus location. 

Compensation & Teaching Schedule

 Adjunct faculty are compensated $1,700 –$2,000 per five-week course section. Compensation is determined by discipline, credential level, and course type. The range reflects a good faith estimate based on current pay practices.

ECPI University operates on a five-week term model. Adjunct faculty typically teach one course section during each five-week term, though teaching assignments may vary based on campus needs and instructor availability.

Position Summary

We are seeking Dental Assisting professionals to join our faculty team.  As a faculty member, you'll provide practical hands-on instruction in an engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies in order to enhance the learning experience of our students and achieve learning outcomes.  

This would be an ideal position for a Dental Assisting professional. Our terms are five weeks long, and class sizes are small which give our faculty the perfect environment in which to share their specific industry experience. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching, ECPI University may be the place for you.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Associate’s degree in Dental Assisting and enrolled in/actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
• CDA or will acquire CDA within 3 months of hire.
• 3 years of related work experience.
• Documented background in, and current knowledge of, dental assisting and the specific subjects to be taught.
• 2 years teaching or presentation experience a plus.
