Omnicare is a leading provider of pharmacy services to long-term care facilities nationwide, supporting skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other institutional care settings. Position Summary:

As a Pharmacy Technician/Delivery Driver with Omnicare, you'll split your time between our closed-door pharmacy and the road — helping fill, stage, and verify orders inside the building, or delivering them to the long-term care communities we serve.

Day In The Life:

You will work to ensure all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for our patients, both in the pharmacy and in the field. Responsibilities include:

      •     Rotating through assigned pharmacy workstations including: Packaging, Staging, Returns, Narcotics, IV, Ekit, Compounding, Omnicell, Machine Packaging, sterile and non-sterile compounding

      •     Providing timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products and/or supplies to long-term care facilities or patients' homes on a predetermined route in a company-provided vehicle

      •     Loading products/materials and maintaining the assigned vehicle, alerting management to any maintenance issues

      •     Maintaining full compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, including HIPAA, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times

Required Qualifications:

      •     Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law

      •     One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

      •     High School Diploma or GED

      •     Current, valid driver's license in the state at the level required for the vehicle's operation

      •     Geographical knowledge of the service area

      •     Flexibility required nights and weekends

      •     Ability to drive for long periods of time

      •     Customer service orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

      •     Prior experience in the long-term care industry

      •     Previous experience as a Delivery Driver

      •     PTCB National Certification

      •     Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

      •     Sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day

      •     Sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day

      •     Lift up to fifty (50) pounds

      •     Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required

      •     Visual acuity to see and read fine print; close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus

      •     Must be able to hear normal voice sounds

      •     May be necessary to work extended hours as needed

Education:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $26.21

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
