Delivery Driver (PRN/As Needed)

R-Dent Dental Lab is hiring a friendly PRN delivery driver to deliver dental products (eg crowns, bridges, dentures) to our customers as needed.

The driver will fill in for other drivers as needed in the Greater Memphis area. Routes are from 7:00am- until job is done (approx. 3:30pm-6:00pm) Mondays through Fridays when needed to fill in. Our delivery drivers are the face of the company to our customers, so it is important that each driver give the highest level of customer service to each of our customers. The driver will use a company car and company cell phone and GPS-type of system.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

1. Be courteous, friendly, and helpful to all customers at all times.
2. Drive safely at all times & follow all traffic laws.
3. Must pass driver training including adherence to all safety and traffic laws as well as HIPAA and OSHA.
4. Deliver correct dental products to customers on time.
5. Have a current Driver's License.
6. Be familiar with local roads and able to use safely a map or GPS to navigate unfamiliar areas.
7. Keep your delivery vehicle clean and notify Manager of any scheduled maintenance due or problems with the vehicle's performance.
8. Exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills when making decisions on delivery times.
9. Follow all employee handbook policies.

Shifts:

• The route will be as needed when other regular drivers are out of the office.
• Delivery hours are typically 7am-3:00pm (although the end time is flexible depending on each day's delivery load and customer needs).
• This position is as needed and is expected to average approximately 8-24 hours per month on Mondays through Fridays when needed.

Route Specifics:

• This role will be assisting our customers in various routes throughout the Greater Memphis area (eg Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi). No overnight travel. Routes are local and able to be driven within 8-hour time frame. 

Compensation: $12/hour; PRN employees are not eligible for benefits unless they meet the eligibility requirements of the 401k plan.
