DELIVERY DRIVER

Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver will deliver food from the restaurant location to the customer’s location.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plans and completes an efficient delivery route for the day.
• Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
• Delivers food to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Picks up food items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensures that delivery vehicles receive basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Assists in general duties when delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Able to read tickets and properly assemble a delivery order.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes. 
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision. 
• Able to always remain professional and courteous. 
• Must have valid car insurance 
• Ability to count money and give change to customer 
• Basset certificate 

Education and Experience:

• Valid Class C, driver’s license and clean driving record.  

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages in various types of weather.
• Must be able to climb stairs. 
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours.
