Goodwin Marine Services Offshore is continuously looking to connect with experienced and motivated Deckhands interested in project-based and as-needed offshore work.

This posting is for our project-based crew pool and does not represent a specific current opening or guarantee immediate work.

Qualified applicants will be added to our crew database and contacted as opportunities become available. When GMS Offshore has an upcoming project or additional crew need, we will reach out with the project dates, location, anticipated duration, and other relevant details to determine your availability and interest.

Assignments vary based on our vessel and client schedules and may include local day work, multi-day trips, or multi-week offshore rotations. Projects may take place throughout New England, the East Coast, Gulf of Mexico, or other locations.

This opportunity may be a good fit for mariners looking for flexible or supplemental work, individuals between rotations, or those interested in gaining experience with GMS Offshore and being considered for future opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Depending on the project, Deckhand responsibilities may include:

• Perform general vessel maintenance, cleaning, painting, and upkeep.
• Assist with vessel mobilization and demobilization.
• Handle lines, fenders, and deck equipment during vessel operations.
• Assist with winches, A-frames, cranes, hydraulics, and rigging as directed.
• Support equipment deployment and recovery, marine survey, research, and other offshore project operations.
• Assist clients, technicians, and project personnel onboard as needed.
• Follow vessel safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Maintain clean and organized deck, common, and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Captain or senior crew.
