Deal Desk Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Deal Desk Specialist I based in the United States.

This is a remote, full-time opportunity supporting the operational execution of sales deals from quote creation through contract processing and documentation. You will use Salesforce CPQ, NetSuite, and other business systems to ensure deal information is accurate, complete, and aligned with established policies. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Deal Desk colleagues, you will help resolve questions and keep transactions moving efficiently. The role offers an opportunity to develop expertise across core Deal Desk processes while gradually taking ownership of more complex deal scenarios. You will also contribute to process improvements, workflow optimization, and automation initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency. Success requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As your experience grows, you will take on greater independence and build recognized expertise in one or more key Deal Desk areas.

Accountabilities:

• Review and process incoming deal requests from Sales using Salesforce CPQ and NetSuite, ensuring quotes, contracts, client information, and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and compliant with established policies and procedures.
• Work proactively with Sales and cross-functional teams to clarify deal details, resolve questions, and facilitate timely progression of transactions.
• Create proposal documents and legal paperwork in Salesforce CPQ for quotes submitted to the Deal Desk.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to support the execution of quotes and contracts within established systems and timelines.
• Provide guidance and operational support to Deal Desk team members, including researching and clarifying contract-related terms and questions.
• Support departmental projects and initiatives by taking ownership of assigned tasks, deliverables, and milestones.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize workflows, and introduce automation where appropriate.
• Develop recognized expertise in at least one core Deal Desk process area, such as Quote Building, Finance Check, Legal Check, Cancellations, or Site Action Requests (SARs).
• Gradually take on increasingly complex deal scenarios and apply structured problem-solving with greater independence as proficiency develops.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Order Management, or a similar function; healthcare industry experience is a plus.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment regarding when to seek guidance or escalate issues.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ or an equivalent CRM platform.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and navigate enterprise systems such as Salesforce CPQ and NetSuite.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
• Collaborative working style with the ability to build effective relationships across matrixed and geographically distributed teams.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines, particularly during high-volume or high-pressure periods.
• Process-oriented mindset with an interest in identifying and implementing workflow improvements.
• Self-directed approach with the ability to work independently while knowing when collaboration or escalation is needed.
