Aptiv is looking for a Part-Time Day Service Associate to join our team in Janesville, WI. In this role, you will support adults with disabilities in our adult day services program, helping individuals build independence, develop life skills, participate in their community, and enjoy meaningful activities.

You don't need to have previous experience working with individuals with disabilities to be successful. We provide training and support to help you learn the skills needed to make a difference.

THE ROLE

As a Day Service Associate, you will provide direct support to adults with disabilities while helping them participate in activities, develop skills, and work toward greater independence.

Depending on the needs of the individuals you support, your day may include:

Leading and participating in engaging activities such as art, music, cooking, science, wellness, games, and community activities
Supporting individuals in developing daily living, social, communication, and independent living skills
Providing one-on-one support to individuals who need additional assistance
Assisting individuals with behavioral, medical, or personal care needs as appropriate
Helping individuals follow daily routines and achieve their personal goals
Encouraging participation, independence, choice, and self-determination
Providing support with personal care, breaks, range-of-motion exercises, and other daily needs
Maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming, and respectful environment
Working collaboratively with coworkers and other members of the support team
Documenting services and completing basic computer or administrative tasks as needed

You May Work in One of Several Areas:

Group Staff
Lead and participate in group activities while encouraging individuals to build skills, socialize, and have fun. Bring your creativity and ideas to help make activities engaging and meaningful.

1:1 Support Staff
Provide individualized support to one or two participants, helping them develop skills, maintain routines, and receive the additional medical or behavioral support they may need.

Support Staff
Provide hands-on assistance with personal care, breaks, range-of-motion exercises, cleaning, and other daily support needs.

SCHEDULE & PAY

Pay: $16.60 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 15–25 hours per week
Shifts: 3–8 hours per shift
Hours: Monday–Friday, daytime hours between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
No overnight shifts

We offer flexible scheduling within our daytime hours, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for meaningful part-time work.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Reliable transportation and appropriate auto insurance
Flexible availability during our Monday–Friday daytime hours
Basic computer skills and ability to learn various software programs
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to provide respectful and person-centered support

Previous experience is helpful but not required. Experience in direct support, caregiving, human services, healthcare, behavioral health, education, childcare, group homes, assisted living, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
