Accounticoinc is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to join our Accounting team in Union City. This is a full-time, fully remote position designed for an entry-level professional ready to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Enter and update financial data into company databases and accounting systems with accuracy
- Review and verify data for completeness and correctness
- Maintain organized digital and physical records in accordance with company policies
- Support the accounting team with data cleanup and validation projects
- Prepare and sort source documents for data entry processing
- Identify and report discrepancies or errors promptly
- Assist with generating basic reports and summaries as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial and client information
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain missing information or clarify data
- Follow established procedures for data handling and recordkeeping
- Meet daily and weekly data entry targets while maintaining high quality
- Support additional administrative tasks as assigned by the accounting team
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including spreadsheet software
- Ability to type at a consistent and efficient speed
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
- Capability to work independently in a remote environment
- Willingness to learn accounting processes and data management tools
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to spot errors
- Familiarity with data entry software or accounting systems is a plus
- Prior experience in an office or accounting environment is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
