Data Analytics - Consultant II / Senior Consultant I

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Analytics - Consultant II / Senior Consultant I based in the United States.

This fully remote, multi-level opportunity sits within a high-visibility analytics environment focused on turning complex data into actionable business insights.
You will analyze large datasets, build compelling visualizations, and help stakeholders understand performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
The role combines hands-on analytics with business partnership, requiring you to translate technical findings into clear recommendations.
Depending on experience level, you may independently deliver defined analytics assignments or lead more complex and ambiguous initiatives.
You will work closely with sales, strategy, distribution, and business leadership teams to influence decisions and improve performance.

Accountabilities

• Analyze business questions and translate data into actionable insights, recommendations, and business-focused solutions.

• Compile, organize, query, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.

• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, KPI scorecards, and performance measurement tools.

• Use SQL to query, manipulate, and prepare analytics-ready datasets while applying appropriate data quality and governance practices.

• Monitor business performance and evaluate key initiatives using relevant metrics, reporting, and analytical techniques.

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify analytical questions, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Present findings through clear visualizations, data storytelling, and recommendations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Manage multiple analytics assignments while maintaining priorities, timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.

• For more senior-level responsibilities, lead complex or ambiguous analytical initiatives, define analytical approaches, connect insights across datasets, and influence strategic decisions.

• Identify potential data quality, governance, and measurement risks and help develop practical solutions.

• Contribute to analytics best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and consistent standards across team deliverables.

Requirements

• For Consultant II: 1+ year of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related discipline.

• For Senior Consultant I: 3+ years of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related discipline.

• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation; strong SQL and advanced analytical capabilities are expected at the senior level.

• Experience developing dashboards, reports, KPI solutions, or performance measurement tools using Power BI or a comparable visualization platform.

• Ability to identify meaningful trends and translate analytical findings into practical business recommendations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain data and insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong organization and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple analytical assignments simultaneously.

• At the senior level, demonstrated ability to independently lead multiple analytics projects, frame ambiguous problems, align stakeholders, and influence business decisions through data-driven insights.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in insurance, sales, distribution, or financial analytics is preferred.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, data lakehouse environments, Python, R, or another programming language is preferred.

• Demonstrated business curiosity, analytical thinking, collaboration skills, and the ability to connect data insights with broader business strategy.

• Annual compensation range of $70,100–$121,475, with placement and compensation determined by experience and qualifications.
