Streamline the flow of restaurant orders, helping ensure that dishes go out to tables on time and at the expected standard.
Stand at the pass during service and act as the middle person between service staff and cooks.
Relay important information between kitchen staff and waitstaff (e.g. when a customer has a special request).
Ensure the efficient flow of orders from waitstaff to the kitchen.
Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
Assist with the final preparation of dishes.
Check dishes for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to delivery.
Deliver orders as needed to ensure efficient service.
Tactfully and efficiently handle customer complaints.
Assist with cleaning to ensure work area meets quality and sanitation standards.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience as a food expediter or related position strongly preferred.
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).

Knowledge of proper sanitation and food safety procedures.
