Customer Business Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Customer Business Manager based in United States.

This is an opportunity to manage and grow strategic customer relationships across fast-growing consumer packaged goods channels. You’ll oversee accounts across Convenience, Drug, Limited Assortment, and Military channels, translating broader sales strategies into customer-focused plans. The role combines commercial ownership with forecasting, trade spend management, retail execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll use sales and consumer data to identify opportunities, make informed decisions, and deliver against revenue and profitability objectives. You’ll also work closely with brokers and internal teams to strengthen customer partnerships and execute growth initiatives. This remote field position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on distribution, promotion, innovation, and retail media across a diverse customer portfolio.

Accountabilities:

• Manage customer relationships across Convenience, Drug, Limited Assortment, and Military growth channels.
• Deliver net sales, trade spend, and profit objectives through new customer prospecting and the development of existing relationships.
• Translate national sales strategies into customer-centric plans covering innovation, merchandising programs, digital strategies, and consumer insights.
• Establish and manage customer forecasts across the total business and oversee trade spend and checkbook management using Telus/TPM.
• Lead internal annual planning, forecasting, customer line reviews, and retail execution planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to support customer planning and effective execution.
• Establish strong partnerships with brokers to achieve both internal business objectives and customer goals.
• Provide retail and in-store execution support for Military channel accounts under the direction of senior customer business leadership.
• Use sales reporting and consumption data to identify opportunities and make informed, data-driven decisions.
• Manage multiple priorities and complex customer needs while maintaining strong commercial and operational execution.
• Travel approximately 10–25% to support customer relationships, retail execution, and business needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field, or 6 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of Sales and Marketing experience within the consumer packaged goods industry, including customer management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and deliver against sales and profitability objectives.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience leveraging sales reporting and consumption tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex projects, and competing customer needs effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation capabilities and confidence communicating with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10–25% as required.

• Base salary of $87,910–$153,870, with final compensation determined by factors including location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
