Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Custodian to perform general cleaning and floor care in an educational facility in the Brentwood area. This position plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
- Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.
- Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.
- Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
- Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
- Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and completing other assigned tasks as needed.
- Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.
Work schedule:
- 25 hours per week.
- Monday–Friday, 4:00pm-9:00pm
- Occasional evening and weekend work required to support special events throughout the year.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employment
- Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately
- Ability to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment
Compensation:
- $17.00 per hour
