Goodwill Columbus is looking for dependable Custodians to help keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work history, positive attitude, and excellent customer service skills. No custodial experience is required. We will provide training.
Pay, Schedule & Location
- Pay: $14 to $15/hour
- Schedule: Full-time and Part-Time
(40 hours/week, First & Second Shifts)/ Part-time (20 hours/week, Second Shift)
- Location: Columbus, OH (Metro Area)
What You'll Do
- Clean offices, hallways, entrances, break rooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms.
- Restock soap, paper towels, and other supplies.
- Clean windows, doors, water fountains, and other surfaces.
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for staff and visitors.
- Complete other cleaning duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and a stable work history.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow directions and safety procedures.
- Prior custodial, housekeeping, or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- No custodial experience required. Training provided.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage daily tasks.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for long periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 10 pounds; occasional heavier lifting may be required.
- Use cleaning equipment and tools safely.
- Work in different indoor environments and around cleaning products.
