Job DetailsJob Location: Hampden-Sydney College - Hampden Sydney, VA 23943Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 HourlyHampden-Sydney College has an immediate opening for a Custodian.  Working within the Building Services group, this position reports daily to a Building Services Team Leader and managed by the Building Services Supervisor.  Perform cleaning, stocking, and servicing duties within assigned areas to Facilities Management standards. May be asked to participate in the on-call rotation. 
Hiring range:  $15.00 per hour.

 
QualificationsRequired Qualifications: 

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Virginia driver’s license
No previous experience required

Preferred Qualifications: 

1 – 3 years of experience
Industry certification from the ISSA, IICRC, or similar institute
Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions
Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:  Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, stand, walk, and bend for many hours and perform repetitive motion for long periods required.
