Custodian

Job Details: Job Location: Sumner - Sumner, WA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents, employees, and visitors. The Custodian will be responsible for performing routine cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the facility while following established health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Full Time/ Weekend/ Thursday-Monday 7:00a-5:30p

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and other facility areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately in accordance with facility procedures.
Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of high-touch areas and frequently used spaces.
Assist with maintaining a safe and orderly environment by promptly addressing spills, hazards, or other safety concerns.
Use cleaning products, equipment, and supplies safely and according to manufacturer and facility guidelines.
Follow infection control, OSHA, and facility safety and sanitation policies.
Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain an organized supply area and notify management when cleaning supplies need to be reordered.
Assist with special cleaning projects and other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working around residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

Previous custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, or similar experience preferred.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with residents, staff, visitors, and leadership.
Must be able to safely operate common cleaning equipment and handle cleaning products in accordance with safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift as necessary to perform cleaning and custodial duties. The employee may be required to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.
