Job Description
Shenandoah University's Department of Custodial Services is accepting applications for a custodian. This is a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, faculty, and staff. This is a full-time, benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, VA.
We are seeking a responsible and diligent Custodian to ensure the pristine maintenance of our facilities. The commitment to cleanliness and order is essential, as the internal and external appearance of our buildings significantly reflects on the Shenandoah community.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional focused on facility upkeep, possessing the physical endurance required to cover a large area. Critical qualities for this role include a keen eye for detail and a diligent work ethic in all custodial maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, neat, and safe condition, adhering to all company standards.
- Perform routine cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning restrooms.
- Utilize and maintain cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and effectively.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and properly stored.
