Job Description
Fortis Native Group is interviewing for positions of Part-Time Custodian for our contract in Tupelo, MS. This posting is for multiple positions on the current contract providing services to the Joe Harris Towery USARC.
CUSTODIAN JOB DUTIES
- Reporting to the Custodian Leadership and performing the assigned duties.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products.
- Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
- Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary.
- Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums.
- Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
- Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety.
- Secure buildings and doors when they are not in use.
- Following instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying and storing items
- Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning
- Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions
- Must be able to work with a team
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must be reliable and willing to perform assigned daily tasks
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
