The custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of office, laboratory, and common areas, including trash removal and floor care. They also assist the facility maintenance technician with minor repairs and ensure a safe work environment.
Job Description
Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Genesis Global Group’s offices and common areas.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 5:00pm-10:00pm with the potential to work on the weekend.
Essential Functions:
This person will be responsible for, but not limited to:
▪ General cleaning for office and laboratory work areas.
▪ Cleaning facility rest rooms and utility areas.
▪ Emptying trash and recycling containers.
▪ Maintaining inventory of consumable supplies for lab and/or office personnel.
▪ Cleaning and sterilizing lab glassware and plastic ware. (Laboratory custodians only)
▪ Sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming of hard-surface and carpeted floor covering.
▪ Maintaining cleanliness of eating areas.
▪ Maintaining cleanliness of exterior grounds and parking areas.
▪ Cleaning of core building features such as chandelier, fountains and stairwells.
▪ Assisting Facility Maintenance Technician with minor maintenance activities.
▪ Ensuring work environment is safe and free of clutter.
▪ Waxing and stripping floors as needed
