POSITION: Short Notice CTCC Cook SR

SALARY: $20.34 per DOE

REPORTS TO: CTCC Food Services Manager

LOCATION: Nespelem, WA.

Basic Functions: Non-Exempt - The Cook Senior is responsible for the preparation of all meals and snacks, assuring that all meals are prepared conforming to the menu and recipes.  All meals must be prepared in a timely manner and presented in an appealing manner.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
One year Long Term Care cooking experience preferred.
Food Handlers care within 5 days of employment is required.
Knowledge of safe and proper food handling, storage, and disposal practices.
Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Ability to process diet changes and new diet orders as received the Nursing department.
Must successfully clear a criminal history background inquiry with BCCU that indicates no felony or conviction on the DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Manual and finger dexterity to complete duties.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach.
Ability to push and pull frequently.
Ability to comprehend complex issues.
Sufficient visual acuity to write, recognize printed materials, computer screen, and notice non-verbal behavior.
Speech and hearing ability to project voice to small and large audiences, carry on telephone conversations, hear and grasp verbal communications and equipment prompts.
Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
