Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.To be successful in this role, you must deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.
- Responsible to perform quality procedures using the appropriate CT department routines.
- Must be able to perform all examinations using all the CT equipment.
- Selects and uses proper immobilization and supportive devices when necessary.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the anatomy associated with each exam.
- Participates in PDCA quality improvements for the Imaging Department.
- Performs exams in a timely manner so patient care is expedited as quickly as possible for turn around time.
Job Requirements
Required
- 1 year acute hospital imaging procedures
- Medical Radiographer: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
Preferred
- 1 - 2 years CT experience
- Expanded IV Therapy Course
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
