CT Tech Student

Overview

Director for the School of Radiologic Technology, the student learns perform computed tomography procedures. Learns to operate, maintain and troubleshoot various computed tomography systems. During the training period the student is expected to meet the clinical competency to satisfy requirements for the ARRT certification examination in computed tomography. All students must be ARRT certified in radiography, nuclear medicine or radiation therapy. Students are expected to observe all medical center policies and procedures. All students are expected to provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications

Age of Patients Served:

All Age Groups.

Required Education:

Associate's degree and Vocational Training.

Preferred Education:

Required to be currently ARRT Registered Technologist, with FL license.

Necessary Skills:

1. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner with patients, visitors and hospital employees.
2. Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work flow.
3. Requires excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
4. Must be detail oriented.
5. Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

- ARRT certified
- Florida Licensed General Radiographer.

Required Experience:

Less than one year - Entry level radiologic technologist training experience.
