Job Description
Larkin Community Hospital Palm Springs Campus is committed to delivering exceptional patient care with advanced technology and a compassionate team. As part of our Radiology Department, we are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated CAT Scan (CT) Technologist to join our team and contribute to high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment.
The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) scans to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. This role involves direct patient care, operation of advanced CT equipment, and collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:

Perform CT procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.

Position patients correctly and safely for imaging procedures.

Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.

Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and appropriate anatomical detail.

Administer IV contrast media following established safety guidelines and protocols.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation in the electronic health record system (EHR/PACS).

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly to emergencies.

Maintain cleanliness and readiness of CT equipment and exam rooms.

Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and infection control policies.

Provide excellent communication and care to patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.

Participate in on-call or rotating shifts as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of previous experience
- Active Florida Radiologic Technologist License required
- ARRT Certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with CAT SCAN training.
- Per-Diem (as needed) ; Alternate Weekends
Larkin Community Hospital is an integrated healthcare delivery system accredited by the Joint Commission with locations in South Miami, Hialeah and Hollywood, Florida. Our network of acute care hospitals provide a complete continuum of healthcare services, including a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, home health agencies, Skilled Nursing facilities, Rehab centers and Assisted Living facilities in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Our South Miami campus consists of a 146 bed Statutory teaching hospital (the 3rd largest in Florida, offering 32 different training programs for physicians) and is the home of the state of the art Miami Neuroscience Center at Larkin, the Center for Advanced Orthopedics at Larkin, the Cancer Center at Larkin and the Florida Academic Dermatology Center at Larkin. Our Palm Springs Campus, is a 247 bed acute care hospital located in a 15 acre campus in Hialeah Florida, and includes a 7 story Medical Office Building. Larkin Community Hospital Behavioral Health Services, our hospital located in Hollywood, Florida, includes an inpatient behavioral health unit and also offers comprehensive behavioral health services.
