Your day as a Crossing Guard 

As a Part-Time Crossing Guard with American Fork City, your primary responsibilities will include observing vehicular traffic and noting any violations to report to the Police Officer, as well as monitoring behaviors around school grounds for safety concerns. You will fulfill these duties during morning and after-school hours while school is in session. Your role involves operating flashing caution lights and setting up orange cones to alert motorists of students crossing, while also directing traffic and instructing children on safety procedures. Additionally, you will ensure the maintenance of crossing guard equipment, request necessary supplies, and submit accurate payroll time sheets. Effective communication with public safety officers and emergency response personnel is essential for reporting incidents and ensuring swift action when needed.

Your contributions will be critical in fostering a safe environment for students as they travel to and from school.
