Job Summary:

Join our team as a Therapist, where you’ll provide professional counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, families, couples, and groups based on their unique needs and treatment goals. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based interventions, and support clients throughout their behavioral health journey.

Our Therapists use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including counseling, psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, trauma-informed practices, and specialty services for co-occurring conditions. Key Responsibilities:

● Provide individual, group, family, and other therapeutic services in a variety of settings based on client needs and individualized treatment goals.
● Complete intake, screening, and comprehensive assessments within required regulatory, accreditation, and agency timeframes.
● Conduct assessments and establish appropriate diagnoses based on clinical findings and available client information.
● Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect assessment findings, client needs, treatment goals, and ongoing progress.
● Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling, group counseling, family therapy, trauma-focused services, and co-occurring treatment.
● Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, and case consultations to support coordinated client care.
● Meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements and established productivity expectations.
● Collaborate with internal departments to ensure services are authorized and required information is provided within established timeframes.
● Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, payer, and agency requirements.
● Ensure clinical notes and service entries appropriately reflect treatment plans, interventions, client progress, and applicable documentation standards.
● Identify and correct documentation, charting, or file deficiencies within established timeframes.
● Support clients through transitions in care and complete required transition documentation, including summaries, plans, and correspondence.
● Respond appropriately to crisis situations and participate in or coordinate emergency services when necessary.
● Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, families, referral sources, coworkers, and community partners.
● Represent the organization within the community in a professional manner while adhering to agency policies and professional ethical standards.
● Provide clinical consultation and support to members of the treatment team as appropriate.
● Provide training and guidance regarding clinical issues, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practices.
● Assist with professional or clinical supervision of individuals in training once applicable professional requirements have been met.
● Complete all required training and professional development activities in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and agency standards.
● Demonstrate commitment to the organization's short- and long-term goals and objectives.
● Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

● Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
● Professional licensure through the applicable state licensing board as required for the individual's area of practice.
● Appropriate clinical experience and training in the assessment and treatment of mental health and/or substance use disorders.
● Ability to meet all applicable state, regulatory, accreditation, and agency requirements for clinical practice.

Required License/Certification:

Candidates must hold an applicable professional license, such as:

● Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
● Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
● Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
● Other applicable professional license as permitted by state regulations and scope of practice.

● Must maintain unrestricted licensure in the state and area of practice.
● Must be willing to obtain licensure in additional states, as required by organizational needs.
● Must be willing and comfortable providing telehealth services to clients; training will be provided.

Additional Qualifications:

● Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic criteria and clinical practices related to mental health and/or substance use disorders.
● Strong knowledge of caseload management, rehabilitation methods, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment approaches.
● Understanding of the challenges experienced by individuals and families affected by mental health and/or substance use disorders.
● Knowledge of therapeutic methods, treatment modalities, applicable legal requirements, and court procedures related to behavioral health services.
● Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned programs.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate clinical documentation.
● Ability to establish effective professional relationships through in-person, telephone, and telehealth interactions.
● Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, coworkers, referral sources, and community partners.
● Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
● Ability to follow direction, accept supervision, and incorporate feedback into professional practice.
● Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, professional boundaries, and person-centered care.

Employment Requirements:

● Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
● Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
● Completion of all required training, including Relias, at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
● Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
● Obtain First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and maintain certification thereafter.
● Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and maintain certification thereafter.
● Complete Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or at the first available class following the start date:

• CPI for Residential programs.
• Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programs.
  ● Demonstrate understanding of Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs) within thirty (30) days of employment.
  ● Complete thirty-six (36) hours of required training within a two-year period in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, including 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1, when applicable.
  ● ASAM Programs Only: Complete fifty (50) hours of training annually.
  ● CPRC Only: Complete the Growth and Development form within thirty (30) days of employment.
  ● CPRC Only: Complete the Privileging and Credentialing form within thirty (30) days of employment.
  ● Maintain knowledge of the policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements applicable to the assigned program.
  ● Provide current copies of all applicable professional licenses and certifications.
  ● For school-based services programs, provide services at designated school sites during school operating hours as required.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration – Sedentary Work: This position requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to one-third of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (one-third to two-thirds of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

The position requires repetitive movements of the hands, fingers, and arms for typing, writing, clinical documentation, and other computer-related activities. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may require occasional walking or standing for brief periods.
