Position Summary

Nino’s Southern Sides is seeking dependable, energetic, and guest-focused Crew Members to join our team. Crew Members are responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving high-quality food, maintaining a clean and organized restaurant, and supporting the team throughout each shift.

Our goal is to provide every guest with great food, friendly service, and an experience that represents the quality and hospitality of Nino’s Southern Sides.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

Greet every guest in a friendly and professional manner.
Take orders accurately and assist guests with menu selections.
Provide fast, courteous, and attentive service.
Accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle payments.
Help resolve basic guest concerns and immediately involve management when necessary.

Food Preparation & Service

Prepare, portion, plate, and package food according to Nino’s standards.
Follow established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation requirements.
Maintain appropriate food levels during the shift.
Assist with preparing meats, sides, beverages, and other menu items as assigned.
Follow all food safety, temperature, holding-time, and sanitation requirements.
Minimize food waste by following proper preparation and portioning procedures.

Restaurant Operations

Maintain clean counters, service areas, kitchen equipment, dining areas, and floors.
Wash dishes, utensils, pans, and other equipment as needed.
Stock food, beverages, paper products, condiments, and supplies.
Complete opening, shift-change, and closing responsibilities as assigned.
Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.
Immediately communicate low inventory, equipment problems, food-quality concerns, or safety issues to management.

Teamwork & Accountability

Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and prepared to work.
Follow the direction of managers and shift leaders.
Work cooperatively with other Crew Members, cooks, cashiers, and management.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy periods.
Follow all Nino’s Southern Sides policies regarding attendance, meals, uniforms, safety, and workplace conduct.
Be willing to work in multiple positions based on the needs of the restaurant.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service.
Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and management instructions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Basic math and cash-handling skills for employees assigned to the register.
Willingness to learn multiple restaurant positions.

Physical Requirements

Crew Members must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend and reach as necessary, safely work around hot cooking equipment, and lift or move restaurant supplies as required to perform assigned duties.

Scheduling Expectations

Crew Members may be scheduled for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on business needs. Reliable attendance and arriving on time for scheduled shifts are essential requirements of the position.

Compensation

Starting Wage: $14.00 per hour

Opportunities for additional hours and advancement may be available based on performance, reliability, demonstrated skills, and business needs.
