Creative Technologist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Technologist based in United States.

This role combines creative technology, web development, AI-assisted coding, and ongoing site management to bring client websites from approved Figma designs to production. You will direct AI coding tools, review and refine their output, and make sure every component and page meets production standards. Working closely with designers and engineers, you will help establish reusable systems that support multiple client brands. You will own the technical pipeline from Git through CMS publishing while maintaining reliability, accessibility, performance, and user experience. The role also serves as an important quality checkpoint between approved creative concepts and the live digital experience. You’ll work in a remote-first, cross-functional environment spanning U.S. and European time zones, with opportunities to influence how creative development and web operations evolve.

Accountabilities:

• Turn approved Figma designs into production-ready components and pages using AI-assisted coding and Figma-to-code tools.
• Review, test, debug, and refine AI-generated code before it is merged and deployed.
• Build and maintain a shared component library that serves as the foundation for new client websites.
• Keep design tokens code-owned and aligned with each client’s brand system.
• Ensure forms, calls to action, confirmation states, links, and lead-capture journeys function correctly from both technical and user-experience perspectives.
• Own the deployment pipeline from Git through the CMS, including branching, pull request reviews, build verification, publishing, and troubleshooting.
• Help support the transition of client-site infrastructure toward AWS while maintaining reliable existing deployments.
• Establish and document release standards and development practices that can be adopted across the team.
• Manage the draft, preview, publish, and rebuild lifecycle for client content updates.
• Define which content fields clients can edit while keeping layout and design implementation under technical control.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for client website requests in partnership with the creative lead for each account.
• Monitor and improve website performance, Core Web Vitals, image delivery, and production reliability.
• Maintain page metadata, redirects, canonical URLs, sitemap behavior, analytics, and approved tracking integrations.
• Collaborate with Dev Services on architecture and security standards.
• Act as a quality checkpoint, identifying issues with typography, spacing, responsive behavior, imagery, content hierarchy, interactions, and overall production readiness.
• Contribute to additional creative technology, development, and web operations initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building and shipping production websites.
• Production experience directing AI coding tools such as Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar technologies, with strong judgment around when generated code requires rework.
• Fluency with Git-based workflows, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Experience working with modern static site frameworks.
• Experience with headless CMS platforms, including content modeling.
• Practical AWS experience, particularly with Amplify, S3, and CloudFront for provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of web accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Strong visual and web judgment, with the ability to identify issues in typography, spacing, responsive behavior, imagery, content hierarchy, and interactions.
• Ability to assess whether an implementation accurately reflects an approved design and meets production-quality standards.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with designers, clients, and engineers who may have different technical contexts.
• Experience with Figma-to-code tools such as Figma Dev Mode, Builder.io, Anima, or similar is preferred.
• Familiarity with design token systems such as Style Dictionary is preferred.
• Experience in financial services, regulated industries, or an agency environment is preferred.
• A design background or portfolio demonstrating both design and development work is preferred.
• Self-motivation, initiative, personal accountability, and the ability to manage priorities independently in a remote environment.
• Proactive communication and a willingness to actively collaborate across a distributed team.
• Ability to work across U.S. and European time zones, including some early mornings or late afternoons.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Availability for participation in virtual meetings, including camera-on collaboration when required.
