Creative Marketing Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Marketing Lead based in the United States.

This role leads creative marketing initiatives and helps translate brand strategy into compelling, purposeful creative work.
You will shape the visual identity and creative direction of marketing activities across multiple organizational areas.
The position combines creative leadership, cross-functional collaboration, team coordination, and hands-on marketing production.
You will work with designers, copywriters, editors, project managers, and external creative professionals to deliver high-quality materials.
The role also involves partnering with marketing leadership and stakeholders to understand needs and develop effective creative solutions.
You will help build scalable creative processes and preserve organizational knowledge through clear documentation and reusable resources.
This is a flexible remote volunteer opportunity suited to a proactive creative professional who wants to contribute skills to a mission-driven STEM education initiative.

Accountabilities:

• Translate brand strategy into powerful, purposeful creative concepts that strengthen and elevate the organization’s visual identity.
• Partner with marketing leads across different functional areas to support creative requirements and deliver marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand objectives, priorities, timelines, and creative needs.
• Lead and coordinate a creative team that may include Designers, Copywriters, Editors, and Project Managers.
• Build and maintain a network of external creative professionals who can be engaged based on project pipelines and specific creative skill requirements.
• Partner with the Head of Marketing to address cross-functional stakeholder needs and ensure creative initiatives align with broader marketing priorities.
• Oversee creative contributions across multiple mediums, including written content, visual materials, video, presentations, events, and other marketing collateral.
• Help ensure creative work is purposeful, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s brand and mission.
• Document creative marketing processes, responsibilities, workflows, and best practices for the organization’s knowledge hub.
• Create reusable artifact materials that support continuity, knowledge sharing, and effective collaboration across marketing teams.
• Contribute ideas and creative leadership in a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on expanding STEM opportunities for underserved students.

Requirements

• Strong creative skills with the ability to translate strategic objectives into compelling marketing concepts and materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of creative initiatives.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience producing marketing collateral; presentation development experience is a plus.
• Experience working across multiple creative mediums, including writing, video, events, and visual content.
• Experience leading, coordinating, or collaborating with creative professionals across different disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple creative needs while maintaining quality, consistency, and alignment with priorities.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Familiarity with G-Suite, Slack, and JIRA is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with approximately 5–7 hours of availability per week.
• Willingness to make a minimum six-month commitment to the volunteer role.
• Interest in contributing professional expertise to a mission-driven initiative focused on STEM education and expanding access to career pathways.
