Count Team Member, Hamburg Gaming

Overview

Delaware North Gaming is hiring part-time Drop and Count Team Members to join our team at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. As a Drop and Count Team Member, you will be responsible for the retrieval, transport, and replacement of cash boxes from the slot machines, while following company standards and state and federal laws. Additionally, you will count and sort previous days' soft money accurately and in a timely manner while following all policies and procedures.

Hours:

Part-time Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 4 a.m. to 11 am

Shift differential pay from midnight to 6 a.m.

Unit Description

Hamburg Gaming, managed by Delaware North is at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg, New York., near Buffalo. The property features 940 gaming machines on the main gaming floor and an outdoor gaming patio.

Responsibilities

• Unlock and relock gaming machines
• Remove cash boxes from gaming machine bases; replace with cold, empty boxes
• Transport hot cash boxes to the cart and place them on properly labeled shelves
• Transport drop boxes to the count room
• Ensure that all hot cash boxes are removed from carts
• Ensure all monies are verified, proofed, strapped, and bricked with the required information on the straps
• Perform as a team member and assist fellow employees to ensure smooth operation
• Follow all company, departmental, and state policies and procedures
• Comply with count room security and surveillance protocols

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a state gaming license
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Must possess basic math skills, including addition and subtraction
• Must be able to handle large amounts of money accurately, honestly, and in a professional manner

Physical Requirements

• Requires frequent and consistent lifting, bending, crouching, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to work in a very fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift to 30 lbs. frequently and push trolley carts weighing more than 100 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk 100% of the shift
• Exposure to high-volume noise, possible exposure to second-hand smoke
