About This Role:

Our Legal team is looking for a Commercial Attorney to join our rapidly expanding team.  The responsibilities for the role are as follows:

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal support to the Company’s Commercial, Market Access, Payer Relations, and Sales teams, including guidance on commercial programs, pricing structures, customer arrangements, and strategic business initiatives.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including customer, payer, service, consignment, EHR integration, and other strategic commercial contracts.
• Advise internal business partners on applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting commercial activities, including fraud and abuse, compliance, billing, reimbursement, privacy, and transparency requirements.
• Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Sales, Market Access, HEOR, Payer Marketing, Customer Experience, and other cross-functional teams to develop practical legal strategies that support business objectives while appropriately managing risk.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of contract templates, negotiation playbooks, processes, and other tools designed to improve efficiency and consistency in legal support for the commercial organization.
• Lead or support negotiations for strategic commercial transactions, balancing legal requirements, business priorities, customer needs, and operational considerations.
• Stay current on relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the medical device, digital health, healthcare, and life sciences industries, and translate those developments into actionable guidance for business stakeholders.
• Exercise sound judgment, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills when advising stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior Legal and business leadership.
• Conduct legal research, prepare written guidance, and perform other related duties as needed to support the Legal Department and the Company’s commercial objectives

Qualifications:

• JD and licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one state and one federal jurisdiction within the United States.
• 5+ years of commercial agreement experience, including health law, medical device, or life sciences.
• General knowledge and/or experience with health law including:
  • Fraud and abuse laws (Anti-kickback, Stark, etc.)
  • Compliance
  • HIPAA and HITECH
  • National Physician Payment Transparency Program (a/k/a Sunshine Act)
• Commercial and Government Payer experience is a plus.
• Excellent writing ability, research skills, and analytical thinking.
• Must be a self-starter and able to complete projects in a timely and accurate manner.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to meet project responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with cross-functional collaboration, as needed.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• This is a Remote position but must be able to flex working times to align with the Pacific Time Zone.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Estimated Pay Range

$136,000.00 - $177,000.00
