Technical Product Owner - M365 Copilot & AI Productivity Solutions

Location: Hybrid (Any office from Bellingham to Tacoma)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead the strategy, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-powered productivity solutions.

This role will drive enterprise AI enablement initiatives, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, manage product roadmaps

and backlogs, and identify innovative ways to improve employee productivity through AI, automation, and digital collaboration tools.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Product Ownership, Agile methodologies, and AI-powered workplace productivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

• Own the vision, strategy, and execution of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI productivity platforms.
• Drive prioritization decisions across implementation backlogs.
• Ensure solutions align with security, governance, compliance, and responsible AI requirements.
• Identify opportunities where AI and automation can deliver measurable business value.

Requirements Gathering

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and user pain points.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Conduct discovery workshops and gather feedback to continuously improve solutions.

Backlog Management & Prioritization

• Manage and prioritize product backlogs based on business value, user impact, risk, and technical considerations.
• Collaborate with development and operational teams to ensure delivery of high-value features.

Roadmap Development

• Develop and maintain strategic product roadmaps for AI and productivity platforms.
• Align roadmap initiatives with enterprise digital transformation objectives.
• Evaluate new capabilities and emerging AI technologies to maintain an innovative product strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with infrastructure, security, governance, legal, customer operations, and data teams.
• Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate solution delivery with internal and external partners.

Quality & Adoption

• Define success metrics, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing and release readiness activities.
• Drive adoption through training programs, office hours, prompt libraries, user guides, and enablement initiatives.

Platform Optimization

• Monitor usage, performance, adoption, and user feedback.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements and continuous improvement.
• Track metrics and business outcomes to measure solution effectiveness.

Innovation & AI Strategy

• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, Machine Learning, Copilot capabilities, and automation technologies.
• Identify new opportunities to improve productivity, decision-making, and collaboration through AI.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner in an Agile environment.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 Copilot and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience supporting AI adoption and productivity initiatives.
• Strong experience in backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap development.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, Machine Learning, and modern productivity platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, APIs, and automation frameworks.
• Experience working in Scrum or Agile delivery teams.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $105.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
