A reasonable estimate of the current range is $31.00/HR-$33.00/HR.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Application Coordinator (CAC) serves as a key liaison between clinical operations, end-users, and technical teams to ensure the seamless integration, optimization, and support of clinical applications and electronic health systems across the organization. This role is responsible for managing user access and permissions, maintaining data integrity, and supporting accurate documentation practices aligned with Meaningful Use, quality reporting, and compliance standards. The CAC supports end-users by troubleshooting issues, facilitating system enhancements, and training staff to improve workflow efficiency and promote patient record accuracy. This role will have an assigned primary location but may be required to work at or travel to different locations as needed.
Essential Functions:
Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of multi-service clinical applications, including but not limited to EHR, EDR, Practice Management, Document Management, and reporting tools.
Manage user roles, permissions, and access within clinical systems to ensure security, privacy, and appropriate use.
Serve as the first responder for clinical system support tickets; troubleshoot issues and escalate as necessary.
Provide guidance to clinical teams to promote proper system usage, meaningful documentation, and data integrity.
Collaborate with clinical, operations, and IT teams to assess and improve workflows during system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
Create and manage in-house proprietary EHR templates to meet organizational needs.
Coordinate clinical system integrations and data exchange (e.g., HL7, NCPDP, lab interfaces, HIE) with internal and external partners.
Partner with QI and Informatics teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting for UDS, GPRA, HEDIS, Meaningful Use, and similar initiatives.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including training materials, configuration records, and change logs.
Assist with system upgrades and testing, serving as a subject matter expert in clinical application workflows.
Provide support to department managers for training staff on system updates and documentation best practices to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
Leads in internal quality improvement teams. Works with the team members proactively to drive quality improvement initiatives in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the organization, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.
At all times demonstrates cooperative behavior with supervisor, colleagues, clients and the community.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and other applicable federal and state regulations.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in health information technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting clinical applications in community health, ambulatory care, or similar settings.
Working knowledge of electronic health records (e.g., NextGen, Dexis, Dentrix, Epic), data interfaces (e.g., HL7), and clinical quality measures (e.g., GPRA, Meaningful Use).
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support users with varying technical proficiency.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Computer Science, or Healthcare Administration.
NextGen Certified Superuser or NextGen Certified Expert in PM or EHR
Epic Super User/ESA
Familiarity with coding and billing standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
Experience with database tools, reporting software, or quality improvement platforms.
