Job Description
Valentina, a vibrant and acclaimed restaurant in the heart of Leucadia, is seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. We are known for our inviting "neighborhood gem" atmosphere, lively ambiance, and a delicious menu featuring Contemporary European, Basque, and Spanish-inspired cuisine, with a strong emphasis on creative tapas and fresh, seasonal ingredients.

What you'll do:
- Prepare and execute high-quality dishes from our seasonally evolving menu, with a focus on Spanish and European tapas and entrees.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service, maintaining our high standards for taste, presentation, and timeliness.
- Manage your station effectively, including setup, stocking, and an unwavering commitment to cleanliness and organization.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation as needed.
- Embrace opportunities to learn and contribute to menu development.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant setting, preferably with exposure to European, Spanish, or tapas-style cuisine.
- Solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- A strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for creating exceptional food and a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices (Food Handler Certification is a plus).
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
