Job Title: Line Cook I
Location: Kissimmee, FL
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
 
Job Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion and quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature, plated consistently, and meets presentation standards.
Execute all line duties, including opening and closing procedures, while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service; ensure prep is completed for current and upcoming shifts.
Assist with daily specials and contribute to menu creativity when requested.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, adhering to OSHA, HACCP, and company standards.
Operate and maintain equipment (ovens, grills, burners, fryers, salamanders, etc.), reporting malfunctions promptly.
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating deliveries (FIFO).
Complete storeroom requisitions for required items wen requested.
Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, FOH, and BOH teams to ensure smooth service.
Provide support to teammates with prep work, cleaning, and other assigned duties.
Stay informed on inventory levels, events, specials, and group functions.
Foster professional working relationships with colleagues across all departments.
Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment locations, and reporting protocols.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times, ensuring the assigned uniform is clean, pressed, and complete with the required nametag.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs.
Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Culinary Arts degree a plus.
Minimum of 2 years’ line cook experience, including hotline experience; private club or upscale restaurant background preferred.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and perform repetitive motions (reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling) for extended periods of time.
Comfortable working in hot environments.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the needs of the operation.
Food safety certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
English language proficiency is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
