El Rio - Trini Alvarez Golf Course, located in Tucson, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
 
Pay:
$19.40 per hour
 
General Purpose:
Performs culinary duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the operation. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures cleanliness of the kitchen walk-in coolers and storage rooms.
• Assists in stocking and rotating inventory as it arrives and ensuring invoices are accurate.
• Prepares menu items in accordance with set standards and specifications.
• Achieves the vision set forth in the Food and Beverage statement: to treat our customers and ourselves with respect and cultivate warmth, friendliness, and pride.
• Represents the club in a professional and exemplary manner and promotes the success of the club to guests, staff, and any other parties.
• Operates in a safe manner at all times.
• Performs other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary by the supervisor or management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic cooking skills.
• Sauté and broiler skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Local health and alcohol awareness certification required.
• Food handler's certification required.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds overhead.
• Frequently bends, turns, kneels, and stoops.
• Exposed to hot and cold temperatures, fumes, and exhaust.
• Must be able to operate a golf car safely.
• Some repetitive motion required during food preparation.
• Must stand for extended periods.
• Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
