Job Details: Job Location: Alliance Center for Education - CHARLOTTE, NC, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Alliance Center for Education is seeking an experienced, qualified cook for its Head Start Program. This is a 10-month, 8 hours per day position. Candidate must be a self-starter, independently able to prepare breakfast, lunch and snack for 100-plus preschool age children, based on USDA guidelines. Candidate is responsible for transporting meals from kitchen to classroom and retrieving service containers after each meal. No phone calls or walk-ins. Position is open until filled.

Qualifications: Required:

High School Diploma
Minimum 2 years experience as a cook
Good organizational and time management skills
Must be able to work independently as well as routinely contribute within a team
Flexibility and reliable transportation

Preferred:

ServSafe Certification
Experience as a cook in a school or daycare setting
