Goolsby’s is looking for dependable, hardworking cooks to join our kitchen team. Our cooks are responsible for preparing quality food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to Goolsby’s recipes and standards

• Properly portion, plate, and present food

• Complete food prep and stocking as assigned

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station

• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

• Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment

• Communicate with other kitchen team members and management throughout the shift

• Keep up with ticket times and maintain quality during busy periods

• Monitor food levels and communicate when items need to be prepped or restocked

• Complete opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned

• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products

• Help maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen and back-of-house areas

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to follow recipes, directions, and food safety procedures

• Reliable and punctual

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to remain calm and productive during busy shifts

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies

Schedule

Part-time positions available. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required depending on business needs.

Compensation

Pay based on experience.
