Control Room Operator

Overview

The Control Room Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating and monitoring control systems for oil and gas facilities. This position monitors facility processes and equipment, responds to operating conditions, troubleshoots process issues, and supports equipment optimization to maintain safe and reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor control systems for oil and gas facilities.
• Monitor and control equipment including pumps, valves, compressors, heaters, and coolers.
• Identify and troubleshoot process issues within the plant.
• Assist with optimizing equipment and facility performance.
• Monitor operating conditions and respond appropriately to abnormal conditions or equipment issues.
• Work closely with engineers, technicians, operators, and other facility personnel.
• Follow all facility policies, operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• Support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in oil and gas operations, plant operations, or control room operations.
• Experience monitoring and/or operating pumps, valves, compressors, heaters, coolers, or similar process equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot plant process and equipment issues.
• Understanding of safe operating procedures and facility safety requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple operating conditions and respond to changing situations.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineers, technicians, and operations personnel.
• Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
