About the roleWe're building our bench of contract technical recruiters, the people we embed with our clients to own full-cycle hiring for their hardest roles. This is a seat for a recruiter who's technically fluent and genuinely curious: grounded in at least one of our domains, with the range and appetite to work across all three. You'll work directly with our clients' engineering leadership, run a tight process, and carry both the client's mandate and the Blaze Talent high-touch standard.It's embedded, full-cycle work on frontier problems: the interesting reqs and the insider standard, without the agency grind.
Because our clients span AI/ML, software, and infrastructure/hardware, the recruiters who thrive here aren't locked into one lane. They start strong in one domain and build fluency across the others as engagements shift.
What you'll doPartner with engineering leadership

• Run intake with EMs, Directors, and VPs to scope roles, calibrate profiles, and set a hiring strategy that holds up against the market and the established processes of our clients.
• Advise stakeholders on the realities — talent availability, comp, and competitive dynamics in niche technical markets.

Own full-cycle recruiting across technical domains

• Lead end-to-end hiring across AI/ML (research, applied ML, ML platform, distributed training), software (backend, distributed systems, SRE/DevOps), and infrastructure/hardware (systems, GPU/accelerated compute, HPC and data-center networking, and the like).
• Manage sourcing, outreach, technical screening, interview coordination, and offer.

Build and drive high-quality pipelines

• Source proactively across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, open-source projects, and niche engineering communities.
• Run advanced boolean and pattern-matching to reach hard-to-find talent in highly competitive domains.

Run a tight, transparent process

• Own pipeline health, candidate experience, interview feedback loops, and stakeholder communication.
• Keep ATS data clean and actionable, and report clearly on funnel metrics and progress.

Raise the bar

• Spot process gaps and fix them — lift hiring velocity without trading away quality.
• Operate as a consultative partner who protects both the client's goals and the Blaze Talent delivery standard.

What you bring (required)

• 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting — across agency, RPO, and/or in-house.
• Depth in at least one of our three domains — AI/ML, software engineering, or infrastructure/hardware — plus the curiosity and range to grow across all three.
• Strong sourcing chops: advanced boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and modern ATS platforms.
• Credibility with technical stakeholders — you can hold a real conversation about the roles you're filling.
• Self-direction in fast-moving, ambiguous, high-complexity environments.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building with candidates and hiring teams.
• Remote-ready: your own equipment, reliable high-speed internet, and availability during US business hours.

Nice to have

• Proven range across two or more of our domains — or deep specialization in one (AI/ML, distributed systems, or network/data-center infrastructure).
• Experience with sourcing tools like Gem and ATS platforms like Greenhouse, Ashby, etc.
• A background supporting high-growth deep-tech, cloud, AI, or infrastructure-heavy teams.

Engagement & compensation
This is a W2 contract role. You'll be employed through the Blaze Talent Employer of Record (EOR) partner, which serves as your legal employer for payroll, tax withholding, and administration while you're embedded with one of our clients.
Engagements typically run 3–6 months, with potential to extend
Pay range: $45–$65/hour, depending on experience and engagement.
