Job Description:
What is The Bridge
The Bridge is a residency in San Francisco for exceptional non-US founders at the very beginning of their journey. The goal is to help them lay the strongest possible foundations for a generational company, in the most competitive startup ecosystem in the world.
Over 8 weeks, our founders go from zero to a cofounder, a market, and real traction. They live and build together, surrounded by other high-potential founders. The best teams pitch for a $250k investment, and go on to raise from top US funds like Sequoia, Founders Fund, a16z, Benchmark, and Index.
The Bridge is built by EF, backed by some of the most successful founders and investors in Silicon Valley and beyond: John & Patrick Collison (Stripe), Eric Schmidt (Google), Demis Hassabis (DeepMind & GoogleAI), Mustafa Suleyman (DeepMind & MicrosoftAI), Reid Hoffman (Linkedin), Charlie Songhurst (Meta), Lachy Groom (Physical Intelligence).
The role
Your job is to make sure the right people in the world hear about The Bridge and feel something when they do.
The Bridge is a product that actually changes people’s lives. We travel the world to find exceptional future founders, bring them to San Francisco, and help them build the foundations of generational tech companies. We advise them, fund them, and house them in our residency in Mission Dolores.
Your role is to help us find these people by creating content that resonates with them and makes them want to make that move and join The Bridge. You’ll define how The Bridge shows up across video, words, online and offline. You’ll shoot, edit content, write, grow our X account, and figure out which ideas to push and how they should spread.
At its best, this role becomes the soul (and possibly the face) of The Bridge. It’s also possibly one of the most fun and most rewarding jobs in the world (but it will be hard).
What you’ll do:
You'll have real freedom, but also real responsibility.
- Help build marketing and content strategy
- Plan and produce weekly content aligned with strategy
- Shoot and edit short and mid-form video
- Grow X and Linkedin accounts
- Spend time inside our residency to document whats happening: the people, the energy, the milestones, our guests
- Follow founders and the team in SF (and sometimes Europe) to document what they’re building
- Work primarily in video, and create supporting assets when needed ( photos, simple graphics, thumbnails, copy and titles)
Skills we’re looking for:
- Agency & hustle. We won’t be able to give you a ton of guidance nor a framework, so’ll need to operate like a founder. You’ll need to have the vision, drive and execution skills to get this off the ground.
- Creativity & taste. Come up with strong ideas, which have both growth potential but also resonate with the very best founders in the world.
- Strong social growth instincts (preferably X). Ideally, you’ve grown an X account before and know the tips and tricks.
- Know how to create, shoot, and edit video content. The exact tools you use do not matter as long as you can learn fast.
- Fast learner. We don’t care about how much time you’ve been doing this, all we care about is how fast you learn.
- Startup / tech world understanding. Ideally, you get the founder mindset, respect the craft of building and want to spend time in the tech world.
What you'll get:
-
Salary: $80,000 - 120,000, dependent on experience + performance bonus
-
Ownership: The chance to shape and grow this role, progressing fast based on your ambition rather than length of tenure
-
Other perks:
-
Attractive salary with performance-based incentives.
-
Generous vacation allowance, including a two-week global office closure over the end of year period.
-
A Learning & Development allowance to purchase any product or service that will contribute to your personal or professional development
-
Enhanced parental leave, plus broader leave policies. We care about our team and enabling the right balance between home and working life
-
