Job Description
Content Creator & Social Media Marketing Intern
Part-Time | Knoxville, TN | Paid Internship with Opportunity for Full-Time Employment
About Us
Do you love creating content that people actually stop scrolling to watch?
Are you the person who's always filming, editing videos, spotting the latest social media trends, or thinking, "That would make a great Reel"? Do you enjoy meeting new people, exploring Knoxville, attending community events, and telling stories through photos and video?
If so, we want to meet you.
The Plumbing Authority is one of Knoxville's fastest-growing plumbing companies, and we're looking for a creative, outgoing, and ambitious Content Creator & Social Media Marketing Intern to help us build one of the strongest social media brands in East Tennessee.
This isn't a typical social media internship.
We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of our social media presence, create content that stands out, build relationships throughout the community, and help us become the plumbing company everyone recognizes online.
You'll spend your time creating content at job sites, filming our technicians, attending community events, partnering with local businesses, brainstorming creative campaigns, and turning everyday plumbing into engaging content people actually want to watch.
If you're looking for an internship where your ideas matter, you'll fit right in.
For the right person, this internship has the potential to grow into a full-time career.
What You'll Do

Create Original Content
- Visit residential and commercial job sites to capture authentic photos and videos of our technicians, projects, equipment, and customer experiences.
- Create behind-the-scenes content that showcases our people, company culture, and day-to-day operations.
- Conduct interviews with technicians, customers, and community partners when appropriate.
- Capture content that highlights both the technical side of plumbing and the personalities behind our team.
- Edit content into engaging stories that educate, entertain, and build trust with our audience.
Lead Community Marketing
- Research and identify local festivals, community events, sponsorships, networking opportunities, and outreach events where The Plumbing Authority should have a presence.
- Plan and coordinate our participation at local events.

Bring New Ideas
We don't expect you to simply check boxes.
We want someone who constantly asks:
"How can we make this more interesting?"
"How can we make people stop scrolling?"
"How can we become the plumbing company everyone knows?"
If you're always thinking creatively, you'll thrive here.

- Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
- Photography and videography experience.
- Graphic design experience using Canva.

You'll have the opportunity to build your portfolio, create content viewed by thousands of people, develop real marketing experience, work directly with leadership, and make a measurable impact on a growing local business.
Your ideas won't get buried in meetings—they'll get tested.
If you're someone who wants creative freedom, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to grow into a full-time role, we'd love to hear from you.

Approximately 15–20 hours per week with a flexible hybrid schedule.

We're looking for creativity more than perfection.
At The Plumbing Authority, we do things differently.
We’re not just here to fix plumbing—we’re here to solve problems the right way, so our customers don’t have to deal with the same issue twice. That’s what we mean when we say Fix It For Good.
For over 30 years, we’ve built a reputation in Knoxville by showing up, doing quality work, and treating people the right way. Homeowners and businesses trust us because we’re dependable, professional, and focused on long-term solutions—not quick fixes.
But what truly sets us apart is our team.
We’re building a company where you’re valued. Our technicians have the opportunity to grow, earn well, and take pride in the work they do every day. We hold a high standard, support each other, and create an environment where doing the job right actually matters.
We also believe work should be rewarding beyond just the job. From team events like our Winning Wednesday competitions—where our team comes together for games, cash prizes, and bragging rights—to the day-to-day support in the field, we’ve built a culture where people genuinely enjoy being part of the team.
And just as important, we believe in life outside of work. We don’t run 24/7 service, and we don’t keep our team stuck on jobs late into the night. We respect our people’s time, so they can enjoy their families, recharge, and come back ready to perform at a high level.
We’re proud to be part of the Knoxville community, actively supporting the people and neighborhoods we serve.
Whether you’re a customer looking for a plumbing company you can rely on, or a professional looking for a place where your work is respected and recognized—you’re in the right place.
