Must live in DFW or Houston areas

We are seeking an experienced and consultative construction professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with a particular emphasis on writing scopes of work and developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This role requires a strategic thinker who can act as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through the complexities of construction projects and ensuring successful outcomes.

·  Scope of Work and RFP Development:

Draft comprehensive scopes of work for various construction projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered and aligned with client goals.
Develop detailed and accurate RFPs to solicit bids from qualified contractors and vendors, providing strategic guidance to clients on vendor selection and contract negotiation.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the scope and RFPs meet project requirements and standards, advising on best practices and innovative solutions.
Review and analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and manage contractor performance, acting as an advocate for client interests.

·  Construction Administration:

Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and daily logs.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with plans and specifications.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, providing timely and effective solutions.
Ensure proper documentation and communication of project changes, maintaining accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.

·  Account Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, fostering long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
Understand client needs and objectives, ensuring projects align with their business goals and expectations.
Provide regular updates and reports to clients, maintaining transparency and open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, providing consultative advice on additional projects or improvements.

·  Quality Assurance and Compliance:

Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Implement and maintain quality control programs to ensure construction standards are met, advising clients on compliance and quality assurance strategies.

·  Communication and Coordination:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and consultative relationship.
Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
Conduct regular project meetings to provide updates, address any issues, and offer consultative guidance on project direction.

·  Risk Management:

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, providing clients with expert advice on risk management.
Monitor project progress and address any issues that may impact timelines or quality, offering proactive solutions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands. Some ladder climbing to rooftops both steep and low slope is required. This would be done while conducting forensic inspections of construction materials specifically roofing materials.

Required Education and Experience: MUST live in DFW or Houston areas

• Bachelor's degree in business management, Construction Management, or related field. Qualifying experience in the roofing industry can be considered in lieu of degree
• Current minimum Class B General Contractor License or ability to become licensed as a General Contractor in all Colorado jurisdictions. Supervisors license is a big plus.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible managerial and administrative experience in the construction and roofing field, 5 years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
• OSHA Certifications and experience with project site safety protocols.

Pay and Benefits:

$110,000   to $130,000, depending on education and experience.
