Location: Idaho Falls, ID (serving Eastern Idaho & Western Wyoming)
Cherry Glass & Aluminum (CGA) is a multi-generational local business established in 1968. We specialize in glass and aluminum systems for both residential and commercial projects across Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming.
We’re looking for hard-working, dependable individuals who take pride in their work - whether you already have glass experience or come from a construction, trades, or labor background and want to learn a specialized skill.

Core Purpose
This role supports the installation of residential and commercial glass and aluminum systems. Whether experienced or new to the trade, you’ll be part of a hands-on field team delivering high-quality work, maintaining safety standards, and representing CGA on job sites.
What You’ll Do
Daily Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of windows, glass systems, mirrors, shower enclosures, and storefront systems
- Measure, prep, and install materials with attention to detail
- Load, unload, and stage materials for daily jobs
- Safely handle and transport glass and construction materials (50+ lbs)
- Use hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Support experienced technicians on job sites and learn installation techniques
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
Weekly Responsibilities
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional
- Work alongside team members to stay on schedule
- Follow safety procedures and consistently use PPE
- Participate in cross-training across different types of work (residential, commercial, shop work)
As Needed
- Communicate professionally with contractors and homeowners
- Troubleshoot basic installation or job site challenges
- Work overtime during busy seasons to complete projects
What You Bring (Requirements)
- Strong work ethic and reliability - shows up ready to work

- Willingness to learn a skilled trade
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work physically throughout the day
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and active job sites
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Attention to detail and pride in doing quality work
Experience That Transfers Well (Not Required)
If you’ve worked in any of the following, you’ll likely be a strong fit:
- Construction laborer
- Framing or carpentry
- Siding, roofing, or exterior work
- Concrete or foundation work
- Steel or metal building installation
- Finish carpentry or remodeling
- Warehouse or material handling
- Any physically demanding, team-based job
No glass experience? No problem. We’ll train the right person.
Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Glass or glazing experience
- Blueprint reading or measuring experience
- Experience running lifts, forklifts, or job site equipment
- OSHA or safety certifications
- Experience leading small crews
