Overview
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Concessions Worker to join our team. This role is essential in delivering a positive stadium guest experience by preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and always provide exceptional customer service.
- Take and prepare food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver orders to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Operate the Toast POS system to process payments, coupons, and vouchers.
- Check identification for age-restricted items in compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment in all concession areas.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment such as counters, coolers, ovens, and other food prep areas.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing and hygiene practices.
- Set up and close concession stands before and after events according to LSC standards and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and report shortages to management.
- Promote concession products and upsell items to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to uniform standards while on duty.
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the menu and be able to answer guest questions about products.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during events.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making changes.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and hardworking.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to multitask and remain calm under pressure, especially during busy periods and loud environments.
- Current Kentucky Food Handlers Card preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced, high-energy setting during events, often with large crowds
- Exposure to loud noise levels from fans, music, and stadium announcements
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting throughout extended shifts (typically 5–8 hours)
- Indoor and outdoor work locations depending on concession stand location (weather exposure may apply)
- Work around hot food equipment such as fryers, grills, ovens, and warmers
- Periodic work in refrigerated or cold storage areas for inventory management
- Use of cleaning chemicals and exposure to food allergens
- Team-oriented atmosphere with frequent interaction with customers and coworkers
- Required to wear a uniform and maintain a clean, professional appearance
- Event-based scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
