Launch Family Entertainment Clearwater
Outside Sales and Community Partnership Development
Part Time | Typically 20 to 30 Hours Per Week | Clearwater Florida
Field Based Local Role | In Park and Assigned Community Territory | Not Remote
$17.00 Per Hour + 3% Uncapped Group Sales Commission + Quarterly Bonus Opportunities
Launch Clearwater is hiring a relationship-driven field sales professional to build community partnerships, generate group-event revenue, and grow a dedicated local territory. This is a proactive outside-sales role for someone who enjoys meeting decision-makers, creating opportunities, and turning first conversations into repeat business.
WHO WE ARE
Launch Clearwater is a family entertainment destination where families celebrate, schools connect, teams come together, and businesses build relationships. Our Clearwater location combines attractions, bowling, arcade games, VR laser tag, food and beverage, birthday parties, field trips, fundraisers, corporate events, and group experiences under one roof.
We are looking for someone who can become a familiar and trusted Launch contact throughout the community. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk position and it is not an inbound-only sales role.
THE ROLE
You will develop and own one exclusive geographic territory surrounding Launch Clearwater, designated Partnership North or Partnership South. You will learn the organizations in your market, identify the right decision-makers, build relationships, and convert qualified opportunities into approved proposals, confirmed bookings, repeat events, and referrals.
Your territory may include schools, PTOs and PTAs, preschools, daycares, homeschool organizations, camps, youth programs, sports leagues, churches, healthcare organizations, hotels, local businesses, major employers, nonprofits, municipalities, HOAs, apartment communities, colleges, and other community organizations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build a strategic territory plan and prioritize organizations with meaningful partnership and group-sales potential.
- Prospect through scheduled visits, professional walk-ins, calls, personalized email, referrals, networking, and appropriate community events.
- Identify decision-makers and learn each organization’s goals, timing, group size, budget, food and beverage needs, and operational requirements.
- Develop school field trips, reward events, Spirit Nights, fundraisers, corporate outings, employee-appreciation events, team-building experiences, youth-sports celebrations, camp outings, church events, holiday functions, and recurring group visits.
- Present current approved Launch offerings and guide qualified opportunities through proposal, follow-up, booking, and internal handoff.
- Ask for the business, address questions professionally, and maintain appropriate follow-up until the customer reaches a decision.
- Maintain complete and timely records for accounts, contacts, opportunities, proposals, next steps, bookings, and partner activity in ClickUp or the designated CRM.
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Community Engagement Manager, General Manager, operations leaders, and food and beverage leadership when an event requires additional planning or approval.
- Support a smooth transition to the operations team without independently promising unapproved pricing, discounts, custom terms, food or alcohol arrangements, or operational exceptions.
- Follow up after events, resolve relationship concerns through the appropriate manager, request referrals, and secure the organization’s next opportunity.
WHAT A STRONG WEEK MAY INCLUDE
- Meeting a school administrator about an upcoming field trip and scheduling the next step.
- Running a planned route of priority organizations throughout the assigned territory.
- Following up on a corporate proposal and moving it toward a confirmed booking.
- Meeting a youth-sports or community leader about a celebration, fundraiser, or recurring partnership.
- Welcoming a first-time organizational partner at Launch and supporting a clean operational handoff.
- Ending the week with every active opportunity documented and assigned a clear next action.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
- Qualified decision-maker conversations, partner meetings, and new opportunities
- Healthy pipeline development, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-through
- Proposal activity, booking conversion, and qualifying collected group-event revenue
- New partner bookings, repeat bookings, referrals, and long-term account growth
- Participation in field trips, Spirit Nights, fundraisers, corporate events, and recurring group programs
- Clean internal handoffs and responsible coordination with park leadership
COMPENSATION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY
- Base pay is $17.00 per hour.
- The position is part time and typically scheduled 20 to 30 hours per week. Additional hours may be available during busy periods, and the position may occasionally be scheduled up to 40 hours in a week. Weekly hours are not guaranteed.
- Commission is 3% of qualifying collected group-event revenue and is uncapped.
- Quarterly bonus opportunities may be based on group-sales performance, community partnership development, and community-generated birthday growth.
- Eligible local field travel is supported in accordance with the current company field-travel policy.
- Commission eligibility, qualifying revenue, attribution, documentation, payout timing, and bonus criteria are governed by the current written Compensation and Bonus Plan and Specialist procedures.
SCHEDULE AND WORK LOCATION
Most relationship-building occurs during weekday business hours. Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required for networking functions, school activities, community events, Spirit Nights, partner meetings, and important group events.
A significant portion of the role takes place throughout the assigned local territory. Administrative work, pipeline management, preparation, coordination, and some customer meetings occur at Launch Clearwater. This position is not remote.
WHAT IT TAKES
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Confidence initiating conversations and professionally approaching new organizations
- A relationship-first sales approach combined with the confidence to ask for the booking
- Excellent organization, personal accountability, and consistent follow-through
- Ability to independently manage a geographic territory and multiple active opportunities
- Comfort using email, calendars, ClickUp or another CRM, and standard business tools
- Professional judgment, appearance, and conduct while representing Launch in the community
- A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, current automobile insurance, and the ability to travel locally
- Flexibility for occasional early-morning, evening, and weekend responsibilities
- Ability to complete required pre-employment background screening satisfactorily
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
At least one year of outside sales, business development, group or event sales, account management, community relations, fundraising, hospitality sales, educational partnerships, youth sports, recreation, nonprofit outreach, or comparable relationship-development experience is preferred.
Family entertainment experience is not required. We can teach you Launch. We are looking for someone who already understands how to build trust, stay organized, follow through, and confidently represent a brand in the community.
YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE IF
- You would rather meet a potential partner than spend your entire day behind a desk.
- You naturally start conversations, remember people and details, and enjoy networking.
- You get excited when a relationship turns into a real opportunity and confirmed event.
- You are comfortable hearing not right now and following up at the appropriate time.
- You like owning your work and your first thought after a successful event is when can we bring them back.
THIS ROLE MAY NOT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF
- You want to wait for inbound leads rather than create opportunities.
- You dislike introducing yourself to people you do not know or working in the community.
- You need frequent reminders to complete follow-up and document your work.
- You prefer transactional selling and consider the job finished when an event is booked.
WHY JOIN LAUNCH CLEARWATER
You will have a defined territory to develop, organizations to discover, and relationships to grow. You will see the direct result of your work when a school fills Launch with students, a company brings its team together, a youth organization celebrates its season, or a partner returns because of the relationship you built.
If you are energetic, organized, relationship-driven, and ready to build a book of business throughout the Clearwater community, we would like to meet you.
