At Facet, we're on a mission to empower individuals to live enriching lives through personalized financial advice that integrates into every facet of their lives. As the Community Growth Manager, you will play a pivotal role and wear two critical hats within the Marketing organization

• Lead strategic planning, execution, and mapping of our Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) efforts. 
• Lead our off-page community growth and reputation strategy, building a highly engaged, trusted brand presence across key organic channels like Reddit, Quora, affiliate creator networks, and external review platforms. You will find the conversations that matter, bring insights back to our content machine, and serve as a vital bridge between our community and our team of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professionals.

The ideal candidate will:

• Possess a strong blend of organic search acumen, modern AI literacy, community management proficiency, and strategic thinking.
• Be a skilled, versatile copywriter and editor who can write highly engaging, compliant copy ranging from technical financial planning articles to punchy video scripts and conversational Reddit responses.
• Have demonstrated experience growing a brand’s footprint across decentralized, community-driven platforms (especially Reddit).
• Have the perfect blend of being culturally plugged-in to online community trends, while remaining highly data-proficient and protective of brand trust.
• Have experience navigating content creation in a human-led, trust-based, or highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Do

AEO/GEO & Discovery Strategy:

• Map out and execute the content strategy required to optimize Facet’s visibility across major AI search engines and LLMs (AEO/GEO).
• Write, edit, and produce high-quality discovery-first content, including search-optimized articles, outlines, and video scripts designed to perform well in generative search and capture user intent.
• Develop a strategic framework and strategy for our Learn site and establish a clear plan to execute.
• Co-own master content calendar planning with the Content Manager, ensuring AEO keywords and community insights are deeply integrated into our article and video production pipelines.
• Act as the "head of counsel" for expert-led CFP content, collaborating closely with our financial planning experts to ensure all content is authoritative, highly accurate, and built to rank for modern search entities.
• Stay ahead of the curve on algorithm shifts within generative search, identifying new opportunities to optimize user intent and secure off-site brand citations.

Community Engagement & Social Listening:

• Build, nurture, and scale Facet’s organic community footprint on Reddit and other discussion-based platforms, writing native, editorial-style copy tailored specific to each platform.
• Lead robust daily social listening efforts; find high-value threads, monitor brand sentiment, and bring active discussions back to the broader marketing and PR teams to fuel timely content creation.
• Deftly "raise" and manage Reddit posts and discussions, establishing Facet as a helpful, authentic participant in personal finance conversations without feeling overly promotional.
• Own the day-to-day management and growth of our external review ecosystem to maintain high trust and visibility across core reputation platforms.

Advocacy & Distribution:

• Collaborate closely with the Growth team to develop, launch, and scale an Affiliate Creator / Brand Advocate program to drive high-quality organic mentions, backlinks, and referrals.
• Liaise cross-functionally with PR, Content, Top of Funnel (TOF), and other Marketing teams to identify external publication gaps and figure out exactly where Facet needs to be mentioned elsewhere on the web.
• Analyze qualitative community sentiment alongside quantitative discovery metrics to prove the ROI of off-page growth efforts.

• 4+ years of experience in modern SEO, Content Marketing, Digital PR, or Community Management (ideally within Fintech, Finance, or another highly regulated YMYL industry).

• Strong, proven portfolio in copywriting and editing, with experience writing across multiple formats (e.g., editorial articles, social copy, video/multimedia scripts, and forum-style discussions).
• Deep literacy in AI-driven search; experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI tools into writing and research workflows, and an understanding of how LLMs crawl and cite information.
• Proven expertise managing and growing organic brand authority on Reddit or similar forum-based communities. You know the unwritten rules of Reddit and how to engage authentically.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and relationship-building acumen, with the ability to connect with busy internal subject matter experts (CFPs) and external affiliate creators alike.
• Experience analyzing multi-platform data insights across social listening platforms, Google Analytics, and SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Semrush, Sprout Social).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, project management, and content calendar management skills.
• A "Customer Obsessed" mindset: a continual pulse on the financial anxieties, questions, and motivations of everyday people in the digital wild.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into community-friendly language.

Nice to Haves:

• A strong baseline of financial literacy; a CFP® certification or progress toward financial planning credentials is a massive plus.
• An existing network of relationships with personal finance creators, bloggers, or affiliates.
• Tech Stack: Experience with tools like Sprout Social, Notion, Asana, Ahrefs, or Semrush.

• $90,000 - $130,000 base salary + bonus + equity determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
