Community Coordinator NATCHITOCHES

Job Details: Job Location: WFD Natchitoches - Natchitoches, LA, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00Hourly, SUMMARY: 

The Community Coordinator serves as the single point of contact, convener, facilitator and implementer of the Louisiana Prisoner Reentry Initiative (LA-PRI) in the local community. The Community Coordinator partners and maintains effective working relationships with local, state and federal elected/appointed officials, community leaders and the public; ensures stakeholder knowledge and solicits program support and sponsorship from diverse groups within the community; addresses community concerns by serving as a liaison between the local community, support staff, affiliated agencies and the public to ensure the execution of program logistics, client success and system-wide change. 

 
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience: Must have High School Diploma/HiSET equivalency and attended or graduated from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice or in a related field preferred.  Two (2) years’ experience in office administration is required.  Experience and/or desire to work with offenders re-entering the community.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possess a privately owned vehicle, a valid license and automobile insurance, or must be able to access locations, possibly at a moment’s notice that may not be accessible by public transportation.

Screenings: A background screening will be completed as a condition of employment.
