Job DetailsJob Location: Grove - Riverside, CA 92508Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 HourlyThe Moses-Schafer Community Center in Good Hope is a place for outreach and practical services offered to the communities of the Perris area. The Program Assistant works closely with the Center Manager to create a welcoming environment for all people. This position plays an important role in the planning, implementation, and oversight of daily activities and major events.
Reports to: Community Center Manager
Works with: Community Centers and Outreach staff and volunteers
Works: Part time, approximately 20-25 hours per week, hourly;
Various hours as needed
ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT — 40%
Provide administrative support to the Community Center Manager.
Cover receptionist desk and answer phones.
Serve as point of contact for individuals and groups regarding programs, services, and events.
Provide oversight to the Community Center to fill in for the Manager as needed.
Coordinate with local feeding ministries on administrative details.
PROGRAMS AND EVENTS — 50%
Assist with recreational activities — arts and crafts, seniors groups, youth activities, games, and sports.
Provide hospitality to visitors at the center.
Assist in covering rentals; serve as host during special events and reservations.
Assist the Manager with event reservations as needed.
OTHER— 10%
Help ensure the center is a safe, organized, and clean environment.
Attend team meetings, staff meetings, and trainings.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
Applicants must be able to lift/move items weighing approximately 50lbs.
