Communications Intern-Summer 2027-Bloomington

The Communications Intern will execute a variety of content needs (social, digital, audio/visual, written) across the organization. This position would support the organization in both internal and external communications efforts, developing and deploying communications that include, but not limited to, presentations, social media copy, magazine articles, blogs, videos, web updates and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to blog posts.
• Create engaging content for all social media platforms.
• Participate in the monthly magazine writing, proofreading, and editing process.
• Assist with meeting and event planning as needed.
• Attend various organization events, including outreach and education efforts, photo and video shoots, and staff and board meetings.
• Assist with equipment and digital (photo and video) inventory.
• Other responsibilities as requested.

Required Qualifications

• Junior or senior in college at an accredited university majoring in communications, education, journalism, graphic design, or marketing.
• Willingness to travel and potential overnight stay.
• Agriculture background preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Normal office working conditions.
• Must be available to travel offsite for meetings/events when necessary.
• Some physical demands – may need to lift between 10-50lb.
